For over two decades, I dedicated my legal career to advocating for victims of domestic violence. I stood beside countless women in courtrooms, fighting for their safety and helping them navigate the complexities of divorce and restraining orders. It was deeply fulfilling work, but it also exposed me to the raw realities of trauma and its devastating impact.
In 2002, my world was shaken when a client was tragically murdered. The experience left an indelible mark, forcing me to confront my own mortality and question the path I was on. I began to seek answers beyond the legal system, exploring ways to address the root causes of suffering and empower individuals to heal.
Around the same time, I was going through my own divorce. While I wasn't a single mom in the traditional sense – my ex-husband had primary custody of our daughters – I grappled with the challenges of part-time motherhood while juggling the demands of a high-pressure career.
Driven by a desire to create change on a broader scale, I transitioned into healthcare program administration, overseeing multiple violence intervention and prevention programs at a leading academic medical center in Boston. I witnessed firsthand how trauma affected individuals' physical and mental well-being, further fueling my passion for finding holistic solutions.
Even though I returned to my roots as a litigator in 2022, I realized that something was still missing. I continued to delve deeper into my own healing journey, addressing the lingering effects of both my divorce and the profound grief from my client's death. Through this personal transformation, I discovered the power of energy healing, subconscious reprogramming, and somatic practices. These tools helped me reclaim my own sense of purpose and passion, and now, I'm dedicated to guiding other women 40+ on their own paths to rediscovery.
Today, I'm happily remarried, my children are grown, and I'm embracing this exciting next chapter of my life. I live in beautiful Newburyport, MA, where I find solace and inspiration by the ocean. You'll often find me starting my day with a 5 am Kundalini yoga practice and a revitalizing cold plunge. I love expressing my creativity through card-making, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and dreaming of the day I'll write my own book.
